广东实验中学是广东省内著名重点中学，新建的高中校区为全国示范性高中，规模为三个年级，60个班，共3000名学生。包括教学楼、行政楼、图书信息楼、综合实验楼、宿舍楼、食堂、体育馆。整个校区按教学区、运动区，生活后勤区三大区域划分，动静分区明确，功能清晰。并设置了多层连廊步行系统贯通整个校园，将三大功能区域连成有机整体。

本设计中以“绿色生态校园”理念作指导，注重自然环境的利用和创造自然生态的环境系统，充分利用自然通风，保证足够天然采光，减少建筑能源消耗。建筑外观采用线条洗练的造型设计，严谨庄重而又活泼变化，既体现出学校传统的历史内涵，又借助多种手段协调文脉传承与变革的关系，形成独特鲜明的现代形象。

Guangdong Experiment Middle School is a famous key school in Guangdong Province. The newly established senior middle school is the national demonstrative school, with three grades, 60 classes and 3000 students. The school consists of teaching building, administrative building, book and information building, comprehensive experiment building, dormitory, canteen and sports hall. The entire school area is divided into teaching area, sport area and living logistics area, with clear dynamic and static divisions and functions. Multi-layer connecting corridor walking system also crosses the whole campus, connecting the three functional areas into one.

The design, deriving from ‘Green Ecological Campus’, emphasizes to use the natural environment and creates ecological environmental system. It makes full use of natural ventilation, to ensure enough natural lighting and to conserve the construction energy. The building facade employs the polished linear design, precise, sober, vivid and variable, not only reflecting school’s traditional historic intension, but also forming unique and vivid modern image by coordinating between cultural succession and reform.
